Accused killer of Sayreville councilwoman challenges theory that there was only 1 gunman

The man accused in the fatal shooting of Sayreville councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour is challenging the state’s theory of a lone gunman and the legality of the search in which police recovered the handgun believed to be the murder weapon.
In a motion filed last week, Rashid Ali Bynum says there were two sets of bullets recovered in front of the Camelot at La Mer townhouse complex in Sayreville on the night of Feb. 1, 2023, where authorities say Dwumfour was shot 14 times in her car.
